What type of bread does Outback Steakhouse serve as an appetizer?

We can't figure it out. My husband says it's a rye and my sister's guessing a pumpernickel. I'd love to know so I can attempt to purchase/make it at home. What type of bread does Outback Steakhouse serve as an appetizer?
Pumpernickel. Isn't it amazing bread? We love it!
I work there and the bread is honey wheat but I do not think you will be able to buy/make anything like it. If I were you I would be really nice to my server and leave them a 20% tip (minimum) and ask them for bread. They would be able to get you frozen ones if you want (thats how we store them) and you could toast it whenever you want (thats what we do). You have to make sure you ask for butter though too because it is home made and the bread is not the same without it!What type of bread does Outback Steakhouse serve as an appetizer?
It is honeywheat, not pumpernickel. Our proprietor sells it for six dollars a bag, I believe (which has twelve loaves).
HONEY WHEAT, THAT'S WHAT THEY TOLD ME I WAS HAVING A FIT OVER IT TOO THEY SELL IT SOMEWHERE, THEY TOLD ME BUT I FORGET.
My husband worked there in college. It is definitely pumpernickel.
I am almost positive it is pumpernickel bread. My parents go there a lot and they love the bread there and they always said it was pumpernickel. It is good. I love when it comes out warm and the butter just melts right on it!
