This probably differs from location to location. Some places have really good food, just as I imagine some places have really terrible food.
I know the bread tends to be really popular. I'd suggest you Yelp Outback locations around you and see what items people praise.

The Bloomin Onion appetizer there is amazing. They have all kinds of things there but I would suggest any steak that they have. They've got some special ones that really hit the spot.
