All chain restaurants service standardized food shipped in from who knows where, and cooked according to bland "middle-of-the-road" tastes. That's why they're chains.
Ask people you know in your town what are their favorite restaurants and why. Also, look up places online if you live in a larger city. Then decide what you'd like to try based on opinions you trust. Don't get stuck in standardized food, cliched environments, uninteresting tastes just because you want to play it safe.
You'll also be supporting local business people that will reinvest in your community rather than some big corporation.
You'll get a much better steak at a local place that strives to be its best.
But, of the ones you list, Texas Roadhouse is the best. It consistently serves a good steak. Outback is ok, but seems to have gone down hill the last few years.
Haven't tried Longhorn (not one around me that I know of), but Logans is absolutely horrible.What in your opinion is the best steakhouse chain?
